Artist's Profile

I have always loved to draw and paint since I was a little girl, ever the perfectionist!

I graduated from Staffordshire University in 2001 after studying Surface Pattern Design, of which Illustration played an important part for me. I live in Leicestershire with my husband and two children.

I have worked in the design industry for 15 years now, designing & illustrating for ceramics for Royal Worcester and for the latter 10 years at a major greeting card company. Recently I decided to take the plunge and go freelance to concentrate on my own style of illustration and design. I also want to be there for my two children as they grow up with their busy lives! I am inspired by my children, flowers, butterflies, patterns and all things decorative. I like to work with watercolour, pencil and pen & ink, combined with finishing touches on the computer when the brief demands it.

When I’m not painting or designing, I create beautifully decorated cakes for friends and family and anyone who asks. I love being creative as it provides so many exciting opportunities!!

I am so excited Flamingo have selected my designs again this year. I hope to produce many more for Flamingo in the near future.
