My love for creating began at an early age, with an inspirational art teacher and a giant tin of new colouring pencils.

I gained a First Class degree in Illustration in 2001, and in 2002 started a 12-year career at a major greeting card publisher in Northamptonshire, where I started as an Illustrator and eventually worked my way up to Design Manager, creating lots of designs for major high street stores and supermarkets along the way.

I loved my job, but becoming a Mum for the second time, and a desire to get back to a more hands-on creative role, led me to go freelance in 2015. I’m passionate about greeting cards, and since I’ve always been a fan of Flaming (formerly Phoenix) designs, I’m delighted to now be adding them to my portfolio.

I work mainly in acrylic and collage, and love experimenting with new ways to apply paint and create texture, and seeking out new patterns to use in my designs.

I work from my home studio in rural Northamptonshire, overlooking fields and drinking lots of tea. My two young daughters are a constant source of inspiration for me, as well as being my biggest fans, and it’s my goal to fill the fields around our house with a few horses of our own for us all to enjoy.
